Buying On Musicians Inventory

Buying On Musicians Inventory can be a safe and easy process. You must be a registered user to buy on Musicians Inventory. To register, click here. To view graphic examples with explanations of the sellers listing form and the listing display page, click here.

First and foremost, due diligence regarding the seller and the item being considered is essential to any successful transaction. Remember, when bidding on an item you are entering into a legally binding contract with the seller in the event you win the auction. You must be 18 years of age to bid on or to buy an item on this web site.

When participating in an auction or Buy Wait Free as a bidder or buyer, please note the following;

  • Investigate the item you are considering buying or bidding on. Become familiar with market pricing for comparable products or offerings and set a maximum bid amount that you are willing to pay for the item. Give strong consideration before exceeding that maximum amount.
  • Completely review the item specifics and bidding requirements. Pay particular attention to item condition, shipping options and cost, accepted payment methods and any other specifics regarding the listing.
  • Utilize the Member Message Center to communicate with the seller. Ask questions about the listing and reach a level of comfort that the listing meets your level of acceptance.
  • Check the sellers feedback. We are a new site so feedback is limited. If the seller has feedback from other auction sites, we will ask them to reference it. You should ask if the seller participates elsewhere so you can investigate the sellers performance on that specific site.
  • Configure your notification preferences (account area), so you stay informed of activity on items that you may be bidding on.
  • Buyer protection depends upon the due diligence of the seller and item, a payment method that offers buyer protection such as a credit card or PayPal. Wire transactions are discouraged unless under special circumstances.
  • NEVER, enter into any transaction related to a Musicians Inventory listing, off site. Off site transactions are prohibited and a strong indication of a possible problem. In any event, you increase you chances greatly of being taken advantage of.
  • Contact Musicians Inventory immediately if you suspect a transaction problem - While we can not guarantee resolution, we will take quick actions against sellers that are not reputable or fail to complete transactions. The same consideration will be provided sellers in relation to buyers activity.
